Aubrey H. "Bob" Baldwin, 90, of Charleston, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 8, 2010. Mr. Baldwin was a veteran of the US Navy. He was also a member of Teays Valley Missionary Baptist Church, where he sang in the choir. Bob retired from the US Postal Service after 26 years of service. He served on the US Civil Service Commission Board of Examiners. Bob also loved traveling, playing table and trivia games, hunting, fishing and sports. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Effie Baldwin; sisters, Mabel Dishman, Nellie Chapman, Marie Swisher, Jeannie Justice and Janet Bell; and brother, Auldie Baldwin. Surviving him are his loving wife of 66 years, Mildred V. Baldwin of Charleston; children, Judith (David) Boyd of Yorktown, VA, Sandra Vandergrift of Charleston; and Edward (Karen Sue) Baldwin of Big Chimney; grandchildren, Heather Robertson, LeAnn Skeens, Diana Miller, Craig Baldwin and Kim Baldwin; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, January 11, 2010 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Young, Rev. Dan Alderman and Chaplain Homer Fink officiating. Burial will follow at Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Visitation with the family will be from 1-3 PM and 5-7 PM Sunday at the Funeral Home.
