Ashley Nicole Campbell ,37, of Charleston, passed away on June 25, 2023 after a long courageous battle of early onset Alzheimer's disease.

In addition to her mother, Sherry Campbell and Stepmother, Carla Slater, Nikki was preceded in death by the love of her life, Brian Smith; sister, Krisha Campbell; brother, Jason Coleman; aunts, Theresa Hartwell, Donna Stiltner; grandparents, Ann Campbell, Junior Blankenship Helen, Hank Slater, and Sharon Bowman.

Nikki is survived by her father, Steven Slater, of Charleston. Her daughter, Yasmin Cummings, of Charleston; son, Elijah Campbell, of Cross lanes; daughter, Cambree Campbell, of South Carolina; brothers, Matthew Childress, Steven Coleman (Brittany) of Charleston, Mike Coleman (Tiffany) Cross Lanes, and Andrew Walker of Sissonville; grandson, Amir Cummings of Charleston; grandparent, Liz Blankenship; aunt, Angie Henegar (Steve); uncles, Hanky Slater of Sissonville, Buddy Slater (Trina) of Charleston; along with many cousins and nieces and nephews.

Nikki was so beautiful, inside and out. She had a gypsy soul and the spirit of a warrior. She followed her own path all the while knowing how it would end. To say she will be missed by all those that loved her is an understatement.

Funeral arrangements are set for Friday, June 30, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Walker Holmes Slater cemetery in Sissonville West Virginia
