Arnalea "Corky" Shaffer 69 of Sissonville went home to be with the Lord on December 31, 2014 at Hubbard Hospice House. She was a retired register nurse from CAMC with 32 years of services. She was a longtime member of Bible Baptist Church and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Preceding her in death were her parents, Arnie and Florence Corkhill Withrow. Surviving are husband Allen Shaffer; children, Mickey and Michelle Newcome, Francie Shaffer, Rhiannon Taylor and husband Dustin and Emily Shaffer. Grandchildren, Kerry Hughes, Jenna and Andrew Newcome and Karen Arnalea Taylor. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Monday January 5, 2014 at Bible Baptist Church with Pastor John Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico. Visitation with the family will be from 5 to 8 PM Sunday and one hour prior to services also at the church.
