Anthony "Tony" Clendenin, 65, of Charleston, passed away June19, 2015 after a long illness. Tony was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Vietnam Era. He also loved his "home away from home," The Smokehouse, and will be missed by all his friends there. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Mary Clendenin. Survivors include his loving daughter and caregiver, Christina Clendenin and companion, Sam Hawker of Dunbar; sister, Sherry (John) Robinson of Chicago, IL; and brother, Steve (Barbara) Clendenin of Elkview. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston with the Rev. William K. Berry officiating. Burial will military honors will follow at Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time Thursday at the funeral home.
