Obituary

Annabelle Hennegen, 86 of Charleston peacefully passed away at her home on Wednesday October 25, 2017.
Annabelle was born to James A. Thomas and Ivory G. Thomas of Charleston. She graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School representing her school as runner up in the very first Kanawha Valley Majorette Festival. She completed Comptometry School and applied her talents in the accounting department of Columbia Gas until her retirement after 20 plus years of service. She loved to travel with her beloved Bob accompanied by friends and family. "The more the merrier" was one of her favorite phrases. She lived life to the fullest and overfed everyone who came to her house with an abundance of delicious food on a moment's notice. She loved her son very deeply and delighted in indulging her grandson and great grandson with one and attention more than anything.
Surviving Annabelle are her kid sister, Nancy J. Lynch, sister-in-law, Emma Jean Thomas, grandson, Edward H. Ray, III, great grandson, Breyleyn E. Ray, great grandson's mother, Amber Massey and beloved Connie Graley; three nephews John Lynch, Jay Thomas, Scott Poff; four nieces Alexana Thomas, Kelly Allman, Mary Poff, Honor Thomas and great nieces and nephews Brian and Katie Parker Jeremy and Caroline Schmid, Rob and Julia Allman, Max Allman, Daisy Thomas and Jake Thomas. She was preceded in death by husband Bob Hennegen, son Edward H. Ray, II, brothers, James A. Thomas, Jr. and Joseph Thomas, sister-in-law, Helen Thomas, brother-in-law, David Lynch, daughter-in-law, Carla Ray and niece Lindy Lynch.
Visitation is from 1:30 - 2:00 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home on Sunday October 29 with funeral services at 2:00 PM with Doug Asbury officiating.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to loyal caregivers Debbie Morton, Sarah Dean, Mary Stephenson and Nina Wibberg.
