Angela Fay (Carr) Artis, beloved wife, partner and friend, 44, went to be with the Lord on July 10, 2016. Angie passed peacefully at her home in Charleston with her loving husband, Jim Lee Artis, at her side. Angie was born December 1, 1971, and graduated from Capitol High School. She attended Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, NC, and also attended West Virginia State College. Angie enjoyed spending time with those she loved. She was an avid animal rights activist and passionately supported the ASPCA. Her furbabies, Oreo, Bella, Misty and Sally gave her infinite amounts of love and kisses. Angie is survived by her husband, Jim Artis, of Charleston. She also leaves behind her parents, Patsy & Jimmy Carr, sister, Roxanne Skiles and her husband Chris, brother James Carr and wife Lisa, and their families including nieces, nephews and a great niece. Visitation with the family will be held at 6:00 PM Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Ev. Daniel Brenneman officiating. Funeral Services will follow at 7:00 PM also at the funeral home. In keeping with the wishes, her body will be cremated.
