Alice Faye Atkins went home to be with the Lord after a long illness on October 3, 2025. Alice was a long-time member at Bethel Baptist Church and the Kanawha City Baptist Church. She worked for many years at the Kanawha County Assessor's office in the tax and real estate department. Alice was a devoted Christian for most of her life, and had many beloved friends, neighbors, and brothers and sisters in Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Lee Atkins, and her parents Terry F and Mary Margret Workman. Along with Faye and Clayton Tucker who she was raised by.

Left to cherish her memory include her daughter Vickie Loeser (Matthew), cherished grandson Daniel Loeser, brother James Workman, and sister JoAnn Garnett, along with many nieces and nephews.

Per Alice's wishes she will be cremated.

Services will be held on Saturday October 11th, 2025 at the Kanawha City Baptist Church 4500 Venable Avenue, Charleston WV 25304 beginning at 2:00pm. A visitation will be held at 1:00pm

In Lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the Hubbard Hospice House, or the Kanawha County Humane Society in Alice's name.
