Albertha Layne White, 90, of Charleston passed July 12, 2010 after a short illness. She was Born and Raised on Kanawha Two Mile. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Otis White; Son, Steve White; Parents Timothy and Florence Cavender Layne; Sisters, Maude Babash, Ada Tackett, Ruby Case, Iva Ripley, Gertrude Layne, Ollie Jenkins and Bessie Taylor; Brothers, Cecil Layne and Othor Layne. Surviving her is Sister, Lucille Anderson of Charleston; Daughter, Betty Alexakos of Conway, South Carolina. Granddaughters, Lisa and Diane and 3 Great Grandchildren A Special Thanks to the Nurses and Aides at St. Francis 2nd Floor PCU Unit and 3rd Floor Select Specialty Unit. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday July 17, 2010 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Al Mendez, the Rev. Robert Fields, and the Rev. John Rutherford officiating. Entombment will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, and 6to 9 PM on Friday at the Funeral Home.
