Aaron Edward Bird, 49, of Nitro, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on December 18, 2024. Born on January 23, 1975, in Charleston, West Virginia, to Alvin Edward Bird Jr. and the late Pamela Sue (Scragg) Bird, he was preceded in death by his loving mother and grandparents, his sister, Michelle (Bird) Tyler, and his stepmother Diana Bird.

Aaron is survived by his loving wife, Shelley Bird; his father, Alvin Bird Jr.; his beloved sons, Austin Bird (Cassie) and Andrew Bird (Gabbie); his nephew, CJ Wickline; his stepsons, Gunner Seafler and Jonathan Seafler; his cherished step-grandchildren, Kadance, Karma, Lilith, Mason, and Kelcie; his step-brother Aaron (Katie) Knotts; his step-sister Kimberly (Tim) Lawrence; and a host of other family and friends.

Aaron was a kind and loving husband, father, and friend. He was the Operations Manager at U.S. Bearing and Power Transmission in Scott Depot, West Virginia, and a former bus driver for Kanawha County Schools, where he was beloved by many children. He also formerly served as the Assistant Pastor at Sugar Creek Community Mission Church in Charleston, WV. One of Aaron's greatest joys was being known as the "Voice of the Dots," announcing many basketball and football games in the Poca, West Virginia, community.

A proud member of the South Charleston High School Class of 1993, Aaron was known for his warm and friendly personality. He never met a stranger, and he brought joy to all who knew him. Aaron will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

A celebration of Aaron's life will be held from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at the South Charleston Community Center in room 3.
